Our Call to France and Europe
Chris was called to missions at age 17 during an old-school missionary slide show. At age 19 he received a call specifically to serve God in Europe. Kirsten loved France, the French language and the French people. Through a bout with cancer at an early age (23) she felt called into full-time ministry. Their lives together as a couple have been focused on serving God overseas in France and more broadly in Europe. Their prayer is to see God move in a powerful wave of renewal across Europe.
Chris serves as the Europe Regional Leader for United World Mission. He works with a team of regional leaders to provide care, strategic help, leadership development and spiritual health for UWM’s European missionaries. He is also involved in helping UWM to seek and develop new, innovative strategies, ministries and partners in Europe in order to see broad movement happen for the sake of the Gospel. Chris and Kirsten continue to live and minister in the Paris region and to serve as volunteers and leaders in the church they helped to plant there. The Furrs are currently seeking to help United World Mission plant a new missional community and ministry hub in Europe called East Mountain. The next several years may see a change of ministry location and a broadening of their ministry focus.
- Please pray for us as week seek to move forward with UWM’s East Mountain Hub Initiative. We need wisdom, direction and a deep sense of God leading us for every step!
-Please pray for our children as we make a transition from what we have been doing for the last 8 years to what God has for us next.
-Please pray that God would move across Europe during these dark and troubled times on this continent and that a shocking and unprecedented revival would take place!
